Obama may be our president-elect, but he and others in line with him at the Mart can still learn a thing or two about sustainable living–like how not to be dragged into the mud by their reliance on unsustainable energy. This isn’t rocket science, just one decision: use alternatives to fossil fuels.

Hawaii is about to become the second state where it will be possible to pull into a special stations catering to drivers of electric cars, according to an article published on December 3, 2008, by CNET . Governor Lingle decided recently that Hawaii will partner with the company Better Place to provide the service stations.

Residents of Hawaii frequently eat cheap food away from home and that those cheap foods carry a high hidden cost in the form of heart disease, diabetes and some types of cancer while increasing profits to fast food companies.
